Abizvo Sites

Your business website, free with Abizvo.

Every Abizvo account can publish a website, hosted free at its own {name}.abizvo.site address — on the Free plan too. Build it with the visual builder or start from a theme, connect the services, booking and forms your business already runs on, and put your own domain in front of it when you are ready.

Themes are written in Liquid and rendered by Fluid. Bring your own domain when you are ready.

Hosting

What the free hosting includes

A free address on abizvo.site

Every site you publish answers at {name}.abizvo.site over https, with a canonical tag on every page and a sitemap of its own. The address is yours until you delete the site.

Published means frozen

Publishing freezes the design and every page into a numbered version, and the public site renders only from that. A draft never leaks, a stale save is refused rather than overwriting, and a site can go offline and back online without losing what it published.

The Free plan, honestly

The Free plan is one person with quotes, invoices, a service catalogue and a calendar, free forever. Sites is not tied to a plan, so a website comes with it. Solo, at C$39 a month, adds the rest of the platform — the books, inventory, point of sale and AI — for one person, priced on abizvo.com/pricing.

What are you building?

Two ways to build

The visual builder and the theme editor

Block builder

Forty block types — layout, text, pictures, galleries, services from your catalogue, products, testimonials, team, pricing, FAQ, maps, forms, booking — dragged onto the canvas from a palette or moved by handle. Text is edited in place, undo and autosave are built in, and narrowing the frame is the phone preview, because the page uses container queries. Thirteen templates give a starting point per kind of business, and an assistant can draft a page from your own facts, never invented ones.

Theme editor

A theme site is edited section by section: add sections from the theme's own presets, reorder blocks, pick a look, change any setting the theme declares, double-click text on the canvas to edit it. Typing coalesces into one undo step, structural edits never do, and restore points are kept every ten minutes, at every publish and before every restore. Reusable sections render the same content on every page that places them.

Themes

18 official themes, bilingual, versioned

A theme is a package of sections, blocks, templates and settings, not a set of pages you type into. Abizvo publishes 18: Abizvo Starter, the reference theme; Marigold for photographers; Studio for creative studios and agencies; Local for neighbourhood services and trades; Estate for real estate; and 13 more, one for each kind of business the site templates serve. Each ships English and French locales, several looks, its own documentation and a set of sample photographs labelled as samples until you replace them.

  • A theme is versioned. Theme updates land in your draft, with a restore point first and a note of any setting the new version dropped — never on the live page, which changes only when you publish.
  • Services, products and booking times are read live from your account on every page view, so a price change or a new opening reaches a published page without republishing.
  • Every page of every site ends with "Powered by Abizvo". It is placed by the platform outside the document, so no theme or edit can remove it.

The engine

Themes are written in Liquid

Themes are written in Liquid, the template language Shopify themes use, and rendered by Fluid on Abizvo's servers. A theme package has the shape a Shopify theme developer already knows: layouts, JSON templates, sections and blocks with a {% schema %}, snippets, a settings schema with presets, locales and assets. Nothing a setting holds is ever HTML — rich text is the platform's own markup — and the platform writes the head, the colour schemes and the fonts.

The theme check

Every theme is checked before it can be installed: structure, schemas, Liquid parse, referenced assets, locales, an asset budget, CSS read as tokens, SVG with no script, accessibility, and JavaScript read as a syntax tree — eval, cookies, injected scripts, string timers and runtime redirects are refused.

The developer workspace

Start from a theme you may install or import a ZIP, edit the text files in a draft where every save re-runs the check, release a version, export it again. A released theme of yours installs on your own organization's sites.

Sell it on the Marketplace

A released theme can be listed on the Abizvo Marketplace under Website Themes, where the review runs the same check.Aevow, Coutellea, Halcyon, Kolam, Levain, Lurivae, Meridian, Nocturne, Pleat, Quire and Revellea are sold there today.

Your own domain

Connect the domain you own

A site keeps its abizvo.site address for good, and can answer on your own name as well.

  1. Claim it on the Domains page. One name belongs to one site, and the platform's own domains are off limits.
  2. Add one TXT record at _abizvo.{yourdomain} carrying the token the page shows you, then press Check now. A resolver that cannot be reached is reported as a failure to check, never as "not there".
  3. Verified, then live. A verified domain is registered on Abizvo's edge with its own certificate. Only once the edge serves it is the domain live — then the abizvo.site address sends visitors to it, page by page, and not a moment before.

Connected to the business

What a site can carry

Galleries

Albums of photos and videos — your own MP4s, or YouTube and Vimeo — under your own site, public or behind a guest code, with favourites lists a client can send back and a download of the whole album.

Forms that create leads

Contact, newsletter and lead forms post to the site itself — no script, a honeypot, a rate limit — and each submission becomes a lead in your account and an email to you.

Online booking

A booking block or calendar lists your bookable services with their real open times and hands the visitor into the same hold, details and confirm flow the business uses. There is no second booking system.

The chat button

Off by default. Switched on, a visitor talks to your assistant, and one who leaves a name and an address becomes a lead. Every hand-off emails you.

Collections and a blog

On a theme site, collections are your own content types — a blog is one: Start a blog makes a posts collection, and each published post gets its own page at /posts/{slug}.

SEO and visitor counts

Every published page carries a title, description, canonical, Open Graph tags and the page's language; every site has a sitemap.xml. Visits are counted per page per day — no cookie, no address, no user agent — and kept for 400 days.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Is the website hosting really free?

Yes. A published site is hosted at its own {name}.abizvo.site address on every Abizvo plan, the Free plan included. The Free plan is one person with quotes, invoices, a service catalogue and a calendar, and it never expires.

Do I need to use the rest of Abizvo?

No. The website is part of the same account, so a service, a product or a booking you do set up reaches the page on its own, but nothing on the site requires the rest of the platform to be in use.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes. Claim the domain on the Domains page, add the one TXT record it shows you at _abizvo.{yourdomain}, and press Check now. Once verified, the domain is registered on Abizvo's edge and is live as soon as the edge serves it with a certificate; the abizvo.site address then sends visitors there.

What is Liquid?

Liquid is the template language Shopify themes are written in. Abizvo Sites themes use the same language and the same package shape — sections, blocks, JSON templates, a settings schema, locales — rendered on Abizvo's servers by Fluid, an open-source Liquid engine for .NET.

Can I build and sell my own theme?

Yes. The developer workspace in your account starts a theme from one you may install or imports a ZIP, checks every save, and releases a version. A released theme can be listed on the Abizvo Marketplace under Website Themes, where the review runs the same theme check.

What happens to the abizvo.site address when my domain is live?

It keeps answering. Pages on the abizvo.site address send visitors to your domain, and the site's pictures and form posts are still served from it, so nothing you linked before goes dead.
